Cases for people who were injured or harmed
Checked August 30, 2026
You were hurt in a crash, hurt at work, diagnosed with cancer after using talcum powder, injured by a chemotherapy port, or assaulted by a rideshare driver or inside a New York City institution. None of the seven listings here is a class action settlement. Morgan & Morgan runs the car accident, personal injury and workers' compensation intakes. Injury Claims runs the port catheter, talcum powder and Uber or Lyft intakes. The NYC abuse listing is a civil claim window open until July 29, 2027 for abuse before January 9, 2022.
There is no fixed payment in this group. A lawyer reviews what you submit, decides whether to represent you, and any recovery depends on your facts and a separate agreement with that firm. The talcum and port catheter listings cite drugwatch.com for historical figures, and the Uber listing cites an AP News report. Those figures are background reading. They are never an offer.
You may qualify if
- ✓You were injured as a driver, passenger or pedestrian in a car accident caused by someone else.
- ✓You were implanted with a port catheter and later had a fracture, migration, infection, embolism or similar complication.
- ✓You were diagnosed with ovarian, fallopian tube or peritoneal cancer, or mesothelioma, after using talcum powder.
- ✓You experienced sexual abuse or inappropriate touching by an Uber or Lyft driver.
- ✓You survived institutional sexual abuse in New York City before January 9, 2022.
These intakes ask you to describe the injury first, and medical records, police reports or a diagnosis usually come up during the attorney's review.

Questions
What happens after I submit an injury intake form?
A law firm reads your submission, since there is no settlement administrator in these cases. The firm decides whether the facts fit a case it handles and whether to offer representation. If they do, you sign a separate agreement with that firm, and contingency fees come out of any recovery. Submitting the form creates no attorney-client relationship and promises nothing. This site links to the intake and has no role after that.
Is there a deadline for the NYC abuse claims?
Yes. Bill 1297-A, an amendment to New York City's Gender-Motivated Violence Act effective January 29, 2026, opened an 18-month lookback window that closes permanently on July 29, 2027. It lets survivors of institutional sexual abuse that occurred in New York City before January 9, 2022 file civil claims against the abuser and the institution, including juvenile detention centers, schools, churches, hospitals, government agencies and employers, no matter how long ago the abuse happened.
