You may qualify for the Labcorp AMCA breach settlement if your billing went through AMCA in 2018 or 2019

If Labcorp handled your lab work and your billing went through the American Medical Collection Agency between August 1, 2018 and March 30, 2019, you may be one of roughly 7.7 million people in this class. Almost everyone in it got a breach notification letter from Labcorp.
Two ways to claim. Take about $50 with no documentation, or claim up to $5,000 for losses you can document. Credit monitoring for two years comes to every class member whether or not you file.
The fund is $35 million, covering Labcorp's share of the wider AMCA case. Claims are due September 3, 2026.
You may qualify if
- ✓Labcorp shared your personal information with AMCA and it may have been exposed in the breach that ran from August 1, 2018 to March 30, 2019.
- ✓You live in the United States and had diagnostic or lab services from Labcorp in that period, with billing handled by AMCA.
- ✓You received a breach notification letter from Labcorp, which is the usual sign your data was affected.
- ✓You did not opt out of this settlement earlier.
What you need to file
For the flat payment of about $50: no documents. Fill in the form at AMCADataBreachSettlement.com and pick the alternative cash payment.
For documented losses up to $5,000: receipts for credit monitoring you bought, bank statements showing fraud charges, invoices for professional help, or a record of time spent on the mess at $25 an hour for up to 10 hours.
The online form is six steps, or you can mail a paper form postmarked by September 3, 2026. The administrator's phone line is 1-833-447-6786. Filing is free.
Deadline and what you get
September 3, 2026. Approximately $50 for the no-proof option, up to $5,000 for documented losses, and two years of CyEx Medical Shield Pro monitoring for everyone in the class. The $50 figure is an estimate and can move with the number of valid claims.
The case is In re AMCA Customer Data Security Breach Litigation, MDL 19-md-2904, in the District of New Jersey. Quest Diagnostics and the other defendants have their own settlements in the same MDL. Labcorp denies wrongdoing. The administrator, not this site, decides eligibility. The Payout app also lists this settlement and links to the same form.
