You may qualify for the Google Play children's privacy settlement if you used Play apps before turning 13

If you were under 13 at any point since April 1, 2015 and used an app from the Google Play store, you may be in this class. Parents can file for a child who is still a minor. Adults who were kids at the time file for themselves.
No proof of download or purchase is asked for. You give contact details and attest to eligibility on the Kroll Settlement Administration portal.
The fund is $8.25 million and the estimated payment runs $40 to $200, depending on how many valid claims arrive. Claims close September 14, 2026 and late ones are not accepted.
You may qualify if
- ✓You were younger than 13 when you downloaded or used a Google Play app at some point between April 1, 2015 and the settlement date.
- ✓Google or AdMob collected your personal information through that app.
- ✓You live in the United States.
- ✓You are the parent or legal guardian of a child who fits the above and is still a minor, and you are filing on their behalf.

Your contact information and an attestation. That is the list. There is no receipt, no screenshot and no account export to hunt down.
The online claim form is five steps, and the real work is the middle three: open the Kroll portal, fill in your details, attest for yourself or your child, submit, then watch your email for approval and payment news. A few minutes if you are filing for one person. Filing is free.
Deadline and what you get
September 14, 2026, with no late claims. The administrator estimates $40 to $200 per approved claim. The exact number depends on how many people file, so treat both ends of that range as an estimate.
The case, A.B. v. Google LLC in the Northern District of California (5:23-cv-03101), said advertising software inside Play apps gathered children's data without the parental consent COPPA requires. Google and AdMob deny it and agreed to pay $8.25 million. Final court approval is still pending. The administrator, not this site, decides who is eligible. The Payout app also lists this one and sends you to the same form.
