You may qualify for the Brooklyn Bedding settlement if you bought a mattress from one of four sites while in California
Last checked July 21, 2026
If you were in California when you bought a mattress from BrooklynBedding.com, Leesa.com, HelixSleep.com, or BearMattress.com during the covered dates, you can claim $110 per mattress, as cash or as a store credit. Proof of the purchase is required.
The case (Grossman v. Night US, LLC, Case No. 26CU017232, Superior Court of California) alleged the four brands inflated their reference prices and then advertised discounts off those numbers. Brooklyn Bedding denies it. About 74,212 mattresses are covered and the deadline is September 25, 2026.
You may qualify if
- ✓You were physically in California, or a California resident, when you bought the mattress.
- ✓You bought it on Leesa.com between July 28, 2019 and March 11, 2024; on BrooklynBedding.com between September 5, 2020 and March 31, 2024; on HelixSleep.com between October 2, 2020 and March 31, 2024; or on BearMattress.com between June 4, 2021 and April 1, 2024.
- ✓The mattress was advertised as discounted from a listed original or reference price when you bought it.
What you need to file
Proof is required for this one, so have whatever shows the purchase, the site, and the date. The online form is five steps: confirm you were in California and bought from a covered site in its window, go to NightBBSettlement.com, complete the form, choose cash or the $110 voucher, and save your confirmation number.
A paper form is accepted if it is postmarked by September 25, 2026.
Deadline and what you get
File by September 25, 2026. The court gave preliminary approval on June 26, 2026 and holds the final hearing on October 16, 2026.
The amount is a flat $110 per mattress, not a share of the $8.16 million fund, so other people's claims do not change it. The voucher version is good for three years on the original brand's site, can be stacked, and can be transferred.
Filing on the settlement site is free, and the administrator decides eligibility. The Payout app lists this settlement and links to the same form.
Questions about the Brooklyn Bedding Inflated Prices case
I bought two mattresses. Do I file twice?
The settlement pays $110 per mattress. The form on the settlement site is where you list each qualifying purchase.
I live in another state but was visiting California when I ordered. Do I qualify?
Yes as written. The criteria cover anyone physically in California at the time of purchase as well as California residents.
Is the voucher worth more than the cash?
Both are $110. The voucher lasts three years, stacks with other offers, and can be given to someone else, which is the only difference.
