If you worked an hourly, non-supervisory job at a poultry processing plant, hatchery, or feed mill at any point between January 1, 2000 and July 20, 2021, this $398.05 million settlement may include you. Perdue, Tyson, Pilgrim's Pride, Sanderson Farms, Wayne Farms and other poultry companies agreed to pay it to end claims that they worked together to hold down plant wages (Jien v. Perdue Farms).
The participation period was extended to August 31, 2026. The first round of payments started going out on May 15, 2026, so this settlement is already paying, and late filers can still get in before the extended date.
Filing is free on the official participation site. The settlement administrator decides who is eligible and how much each person gets, not this site.
You may qualify if
- ✓You worked as a non-supervisory hourly employee at a poultry processing complex, plant, hatchery, or feed mill run by one of the defendant poultry companies.
- ✓That work happened at any time between January 1, 2000 and July 20, 2021. A single stretch inside that window counts.
- ✓You can produce either a copy of an official photo ID (a driver's license or an employee ID) or a copy of at least one paycheck or paystub from that job.

Deadline and what you get
The participation deadline is August 31, 2026, after an extension.
Payments are pro rata. The administrator divides the $398.05 million fund based on how long you worked and what you earned, so two people from the same plant can get different amounts, and the final figure depends on how many valid forms come in. The Payout app also lists this settlement and links to the same official participation form.

Yes, if you have a photo ID. The administrator accepts a copy of official photo identification instead of a paycheck or paystub.

The class covers non-supervisory hourly workers only. If your role was supervisory, the administrator's site is the place to check whether any part of your employment counts.
Payments already started. Is it too late?
